ATLAS // ELSE — Infrastructure Operations Software

Building the operational software that owns the ugly last mile.

Atlas & Else builds operational software for infrastructure teams, starting with Atlas CertOps — certificate lifecycle and deployment orchestration that tracks every certificate, where it's deployed, what depends on it, and whether the replacement actually succeeded.

Built by an infrastructure engineer with 10+ years across enterprise, security, and compliance-driven environments.

Products

Atlas & Else builds operational software for infrastructure teams. Atlas CertOps is in active development today; Atlas Runbook and AtlasOS are on the roadmap.

Atlas CertOps

NOW In active development

A renewed certificate still has to be deployed across firewalls, F5s, Citrix, load balancers, web servers, Kubernetes, Java keystores, Cloudera, legacy systems and vendor-managed infrastructure. Some of that is automated. Some is manual. Some requires tickets and maintenance windows. Some fails silently.

Atlas CertOps orchestrates and tracks that operational process end to end — so nothing falls through the gap between "renewed" and "actually in production."

  • Know every certificate and where it is deployed
  • Know what depends on it and who owns it
  • Know how it gets replaced — and whether that succeeded
  • Know what failed, and why

NEXT Roadmap

Atlas Runbook

Operational runbooks built for real execution. Create, approve, version, and execute structured procedures with guided workflows, immutable execution snapshots, incident tracking, and a complete audit trail.

EXPLORING Long-term concept

AtlasOS

An AI-powered personal and operational assistant — the concept for a single intelligent interface that brings tools, information, workflows, and automation together. In development; not yet available.

In the queue

Future products

Additional tools and standalone products under Atlas & Else as the company grows.

Systems Expertise

Built from real infrastructure experience

A decade-plus across enterprise infrastructure, security, and compliance environments — the kind of systems where a silent failure costs someone their weekend.

Identity & Access

SAML / SSO & Auth

Enterprise authentication, federation, and access control across heterogeneous identity providers.

Infrastructure

Docker / VM / Cloudera

Container and virtualization platforms, big-data clusters, and the glue that keeps them talking to each other.

Observability

SolarWinds Orion

Monitoring, alerting, and network management at enterprise scale — finding the signal in the noise.

Compliance & Security

Hardened Environments

Operating inside regulated, audited, and compliance-driven environments where change discipline is non-negotiable.

Certificate Operations

Lifecycle & Deployment

The unglamorous last mile — issuance, deployment, rotation, and verification across every target system.

Troubleshooting

Complex Systems

Diagnosing the failures no one else wants to touch — the ones that cross teams, vendors, and platforms.

How I Work

Operating principles

Verify, then build

Validate assumptions against evidence before committing to an implementation. Guess less, find problems earlier.

Smallest stable foundation

Ship the minimal thing that works in production. Expand based on real usage, not imagined requirements.

One coherent stack

Stable tools, one architecture, minimal dependencies. No framework churn for its own sake.

Production-minded

If it can fail silently, it will. Design for the failure path first — alerts, observability, recovery.

About

Engineer first, founder second.

I'm Jessica, founder of Atlas & Else and an infrastructure engineer with more than a decade of experience across enterprise infrastructure, security, authentication, and compliance-driven environments.

Atlas & Else exists to turn operational problems I've actually lived through into software infrastructure teams don't have to keep solving with spreadsheets, tribal knowledge, and after-hours tickets.

I'm also a U.S. military veteran, which shaped how I communicate and operate: direct, pragmatic, and allergic to theatre. I'd rather give you a straight answer than a comfortable one.

That work starts with Atlas CertOps, with Atlas Runbook and AtlasOS on the roadmap.
